AIDS is endemic in Lesotho and the death rate is high.
Many children are orphaned early.

Our scholarship programme enables such young people to access secondary education; a significant proportion of them then going on to study at University, and subsequently returning to their home village to take up employment and help the next generation to succeed, ‘giving back’ to their community.

We are currently paying for the education of 40 double orphans (those who have lost both parents) at a cost of a mere £150 per year, just £3 per week!   Could you help with this?

In common with many countries who use wood as cooking fuel, Lesotho has a serious soil erosion problem.  You can help by buying a tree (or trees) which we will plant and dedicate for you.

£5 pays for a soil stabilising tree, or £10 a fruit tree which will also help to support food security in the valley.

Why not buy tree(s) as a present for family and friends?  We can provide you with an informative ‘tree planter card’ for your gift recipient, to support this decision.

Most of the rural population of Lesotho are subsistence farmers.  To help them get the most out of their land we have established a teaching farm, demonstrating conservation agriculture, in the Malealea valley.

One year’s seed for this small farm costs £250. Your help can really make a difference to community members’ lives through this upskilling of local farmers.

In rural Africa just £35 spent per household can provide the latest revolutionary heat retention cook bag which are handmade in Lesotho by Eternal Flame Worldwide Ltd.

This fantastic development is changing lives in Africa, by reducing the amount of time spent stirring the pot (and collecting fuel wood), as well as cutting the amount of water required by 80%!

The heat retention cook bag works as a slow cooker; once food has been brought to the boil, the pot is removed from the heat source and placed into the insulated bag to finish cooking.

If you are struggling to find that special gift for your lucky friend who has everything s/he needs, why not consider donating a heat retention cook bag to a family in Africa?  We will provide you with a Gift Certificate for each bag purchased.
